# A second pair of eyes on your pitch

Ask one other founder to read your pitch before you explain it. What they understand unaided is useful information.

## Send this brief

> **Who it’s for:** [specific customer].
>
> **What they’re trying to do:** [job or outcome].
>
> **Our message:** [paste your current pitch].
>
> **What I’d like feedback on:** [one question].

## Ask the reviewer

1. Who do you think this product is for?
2. What problem do you think it solves?
3. Which sentence feels clearest?
4. Where do you have to guess what I mean?
5. Which claim would need evidence?
6. What would you expect the next step to be?

## Give feedback that someone can use

Quote the unclear sentence. Say what you understood and where you got lost. Suggest one edit rather than rewriting the whole company.

## Make the next version

- The claim I need to substantiate:
- The question I’ll test in the next customer conversation:

Thank the reviewer and offer a specific way to return the help.
