# An introduction people can actually help with

A useful introduction gives someone a clear way to help. It also gives them a reason to reach back out.

## Start with this

> I’m [name], building [company] for [specific person or team]. We help them [concrete outcome].
>
> Right now, I’m trying to [one next milestone]. The thing I could use help with is [specific ask].
>
> I can help other founders with [experience, skill, or connection you can genuinely offer].
>
> If that sounds like your world, I’d love to compare notes.

## Make the ask smaller

“Help with growth” is hard to act on. “An introduction to a founder who sells to independent dentists” gives someone a useful search in their own memory.

Choose one current ask. Leave the company history for the conversation.

## Before you post

- Can someone understand the customer without visiting your website?
- Is there one thing they can do to help?
- Is your offer something you can follow through on this week?
- Have you left out private customer or investor details?

## Follow through

Thank people who respond. Close the loop when an introduction leads somewhere. If you offer help, set a time to deliver it.
